Free Tutoring by David Taylor

Completing homework is impossible without understanding the necessary skills. In those situations, there is online help for students so they can solve a homework problem with a tutor and understand the steps. If you live in Los Angeles County and have a library card (you will need your library card number), free help is just a click away. For grades K-12 and for basic college courses, services are provided by tutor.com, an agency that employs thousands of work-at-home tutors who are background and skill tested. Between the hours of 3 PM and 10 PM daily, one can further develop his or her math, English, science, and social studies. You can even study for an exam or correct a paper with a live English tutor. Resources, such as these, are a great asset to you and your child!

To login to the tutor.com site, go to Los Angeles Public Library

Click on Kids Path on the left navigation bar

Under the section “Spotlight” select Live Homework Help

Click the button labeled Connect Now

Then enter your library card barcode and the last 4 digits of your phone number. Click enter.

The tutor.com menu will appear! Select the type of help you need and explain your problem. You will be connected with the first available tutor.

Tip: To get a tutor as quickly as possible, make sure to connect as close to 3 PM as possible.

My tutor, Nicole G. carefully explained that:

At the end, we finished with an excellent representation of a Pentagon’s line of symmetry.

With tutor.com, you can get your important questions answered if you don’t have the funds to hire a tutor, the means to drive to a learning center, or if you just need some clarification on an as-need basis.
